The term security can mean many different things depending on context. TabbTech focuses on physical access control and monitoring of the spaces of concern. 

CCTV, proximity readers, motion and glass break sensors and the like are the systems TabbTech designs into the physical infrastructure of facilities.  To a large extent security systems are a couple of years ahead of AV systems in evolving to IP based systems that run on twisted pair or fiber infrastructure and integrate seamlessly with a traditional network.  These systems do present many design challenges, often based on where the devices need to be installed, such as a camera on a pole where there are environmental and lightning strike concerns, power needs for a remote card reader, or simply a location that is difficult to access.
